I at first had misgivings about getting this book On the one had I love yuri but have a mixed relationship to LN especially isekai This book then exceeded what I expected and surprised me with how much I enjoyed it My first though had been that it would be a light hearted comedy series like so many others The first half of the book is this but the second part gets much series but not in an out of the blue sort of way there are hints and it feels like realistic conflictWell the plot is good its the characters especially our main protagonist Rae Taylor who stand out She is wonderful as a female protagonist and even so as an isekai one as she is actual a competent self aware person and not the dumb sexually incompetent idiots who tend to clutter this genre Rae is smart and funny and her playful teasing of her lady love the villainess are some of the best parts The villainess is also then just a one dimensional character or foil for the protag she feels like an actual person as do many of the other characters Over all its plot is nothing new but the way its delivered is top level and anybody into romance or just looking for a fun and interesting read would enjoy this

Dear Archnemesis Love with PDFEPUB #231 Wont You Be MineOrdinary office worker Oohashi Rei wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite. This is a very fun short easy book to read but since it's a riff on a genre of Japanese media it helps a lot to be familiar with other IsekaiA lot of the book involves the protagonist being essentially genre savvy to the type of story she's in since she's in the world of a videogame she already played and knows what will happen most of the time She also acts in a very silly way and so it has a fun over the top feeling to it for the most partThere are a couple of parts where this is a bit weird like when the protagonist admits her low self esteem regarding being gay because she lived in Japan and experienced homophobia There's also an acknowledgement that her life before going inside the world of the game was being severely overworked by bad bosses and workplace culture These are for the most part just a chapter or two of the book and fit in with a darker undertone to the light heartednessIt is worth noting that the other time the silly tone chafes a little bit is when it's revealed 2 minor characters in the book are incestual lovers and get moderately punished for that It's not treated like anything too heavy by the book and that may jar or upset some readers although I found it easy to overlook due to it not being endorsed by the book sort of lightly ignored and not being a personal trigger of mineOverall a good sillly book that left me wanting to read the second volume as soon as possible
