Best book ever written on organized crimeCosmopolitan This is the true crime bestseller that was the basis for Martin Scorsese's film masterpiece GoodFellas which brought to life the violence the excess the families the wives and girlfriends the drugs the payoffs the payback After having seen ‘Goodfellas’ a few times I decided to get the book that it had been based on I was not disappointed The book is written in a documentary manner but is nonetheless a really good read and it also shows how true to the book the film was Unlike many other factually written books it is an interesting and gripping read Thoroughly enjoyed it
