The Reader's edition is intended to remove the extraneous material and just focus on the words of the Bible is similar formatting to a novel For the predominant sections where they do that it is amazing I find myself being drawn in and reading longer However about a third of the Reader's edition does not follow this format but follows a poetic column format which splits many sentences in half on separate lines This includes the books of Job Psalms Proverbs Ecclesiastes Song of Solomon Isaiah most of Jeremiah Lamentations and part of the minor prophets; about a third of the Bible I understand that this is a common format for these books in other editions but I thought this edition would not follow that format I find it breaks up the readability Perhaps I just need to adjust to reading the poetic formatOther than that there is uiet a bit of bleed through which is the price of having 1825 pages in this dimension book The first word in every chapter is all caps Paragraph assumptions have been made and they fit wellI plan on keeping this bible and enjoying reading it daily but for now I will forgo buying the boxset hardcover reader's edition due to the formatting of substantial sections
